WHAT WE FIND
Sweeps, seals and strike plates fail first
A cold hallway sends most people shopping for a new entry door. Nine times out of ten the slab is fine and the problem is a worn bottom sweep, compressed weatherstripping, or a frame that has drifted out of square and no longer compresses the seal evenly. All three cost a fraction of replacement.
When the frame is rotted or the slab is warped, we’ll say so — but we check the cheap causes first.

SERVICE AREA
Repairs, adjustments and full replacements across the GTA and Southern Ontario. Emergency board-up after a break-in or storm damage goes out the same day anywhere on the map, with the permanent repair scheduled after.
HOW IT WORKS
Sticking, drafty, sagging or won’t latch — most causes can be narrowed down over the phone.
We check the slab, the frame, the hinges and the seals before recommending anything.
Sweeps, hinges and weatherstripping fixed the same visit; full replacements measured and ordered.
The door is set to close with even compression all round, then caulked and finished.
TESTIMONIALS

Our garage door spring snapped on a Saturday and the door wouldn’t budge — with both cars stuck inside. Someone was here within two hours, replaced both springs and the cables, and showed me the price before touching anything.
Helen Anderson
Mississauga
Every window at the back of the house had fogged up between the panes. They replaced twelve sealed units in a single day without pulling out a single frame or damaging any drywall.
Charles Barker
Toronto
Locked myself out at 11pm with my daughter already asleep inside. The dispatcher stayed on the phone with me until the tech arrived, and he had the door open in under five minutes with zero damage to the lock.
Laura Morrison
Brampton
We took possession on Friday and wanted every lock changed before moving in. All four exterior doors were rekeyed to one key by Saturday afternoon, plus two new deadbolts.
Robert Cooper
Oakville
Our basement went from bare concrete to a finished rec room, guest bedroom and bathroom in six weeks. One project manager the whole way through, and they handled the egress window permit so we didn’t have to figure that out ourselves.

Feeling a draft? Before quoting a new door we check the sweep, the seals and the frame — three cheap causes that account for most cold hallways.
FAQ
Usually not. A worn bottom sweep, compressed weatherstripping or a frame that’s drifted out of square accounts for most drafts, and all three cost a fraction of replacement. We check those first and say so if the slab genuinely needs replacing.
Fibreglass, for most homes — it doesn’t warp, swell, rot or rust, insulates better than steel or wood, and handles the temperature swing from −25°C to +35°C without complaint. Steel is cheaper but dents permanently. Wood looks best and needs refinishing every three to five years.
Almost always. Sticking sliders are usually worn rollers, a dirty or bent track, or rollers that have dropped out of adjustment. All three are repairs, not replacements.
$1,200 to $3,500 for a standard single door. Adding sidelites, a transom or a double-door configuration moves the range to $3,000 to $8,000. The slab itself is often less than half the total.
Sometimes — a slab-only replacement works if the frame is square, sound and matches the new hinge and lock positions. In practice most frames of replacement-worthy age have their own issues, and a pre-hung unit gives a properly sealed assembly.
Yes. Emergency board-up goes out the same day to secure the opening, with the permanent repair — frame, slab, hardware and reinforced strike plate — scheduled after.
