FAQ
A single-car door starts around $1,200 installed. A double-car insulated door typically runs $1,800 to $3,500 depending on insulation, window options and hardware. Custom sizes and full-view glass doors go higher.
If the garage is attached to living space or you use it as a workshop, yes — the room above and beside it stays noticeably warmer. For a detached garage that’s purely storage, the payback is thin and a non-insulated door is a reasonable choice.
A standard replacement takes four to six hours including removing and disposing of the old door. Adding an opener adds an hour or two. Custom or double-door installs can run a full day.
Not automatically. If your opener is under ten years old and rated for the weight of the new door, we’ll reuse it. A heavier insulated door on an underpowered opener is a common cause of premature motor failure, so we check the rating rather than assuming.
In-stock standard sizes are often available within one to two weeks. Custom sizes, colours and full-view glass typically run four to eight weeks from measurement.
